⁣Many people try to use this verse as proof that pharmaceutical companies are practicing sorcery. But could it be just another another mistranslation?

The truth is "pharmakia" was a word used for both medical drugs as well as sorcery.
Then English speakers picked it up as pharamcy to use again for medical terminology not to refer to doctors as witches.

the bible is in part religious sorcery.. pharmakeia stems from a pre-greek word actually, but let's just say it could stand for both healing or poisonous medicine.. what we have today is allopathic imbalance in the pharmacopeia which has devastated countless lives.. https://www.etymonline.com/sea....rch?q=pharmacy&r

I agree modern medicine isn't perfect. But we have to get back to the solution to it all. All the world's problems are caused by greed and the solution is to live by faith, share, and stop working for money like Jesus taught. If we follow His teachings we can be set free from the system.

@QuickChristianTruths: i hear ya.. ignorance lies more at the causal root factor than greed, and i mean ignorance on a multidimensional level.. For me it's about embodying that christ consciousness and oppose the same unholy trinity he did with government, dogmatic religion, and money, as you said

@Derek Bartolacelli: Yeah I agree. I think the only way to embody Christ's Spirit is to actually do what He taught in the four gospels. After all, He said "My teachings are my Spirit". He is referred to as the cronerstone in which we need to build our lives on, and the cornerstone to that cornerstone are teachings like quitting our jobs and working for God instead of money. (Matthew 6 24-34). Another is forsaking all we own. (Luke 14:33) and preaching the gospel full time (Matthew 28:16-20). What are your thoughts on that?
